Synopsis
Preview performances February 21 – 24; Opening night is February 24.
Signed interpreted performance is March 9.
A study in the corrupting power of unchecked ambition, the brave Scottish general Macbeth is one of Shakespeare’s most haunting tragic figures. After receiving a prophecy from a trio of fantastical witches claiming that he is fated to be King of Scotland, Macbeth becomes consumed by the prospect of political advancement. Spurred to action by his equally ambitious wife, something wicked this way comes when Macbeth proves not a man worthy of the Kingship, but an immoral and tyrannical madman.
