Synopsis
We take very seriously your health and safety and the health and safety of our performers. We have closely followed all of the updates regarding COVID-19, and to protect both you and our actors and staff, we have made the difficult decision that the remainder of our 2019-2020 Main Series and Cabaret Series performances will be cancelled. This includes Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, The Room Where It Happens: Broadway’s Modern Musical, and A Little Night Music. March 13 was our final performance of Hamlet. Matt and Christina Drayton’s proud liberal sensibilities are put to the test when their daughter brings home her black fiancé. Fearful of how the marriage could affect their daughter’s shining future, they come to realize there’s a difference between supporting a mixed-race couple in the newspaper and welcoming one into your family—especially in 1967. And they aren’t the only ones concerned about the match. It’s not long before a multi-family clash of racial and generational differences sweeps across the Drayton’s once-idyllic San Francisco terrace.
