**Prologue – Prologues begin 45 minutes prior to normally scheduled subscription performances. Prologues are not available for added student matinees.
Having done one full production and one staged reading of the first two plays in the August Wilson Century Cycle, STC staff and board feel that the third play in the series, MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM, deserves a full production. The cost of doing a full production of this wonderful musical is substantial and we want to make sure it is done well. We do not -- as of yet -- have all of the sponsors lined up for the production. The STC Board of Trustees has formed a task force to raise the dollars needed to do the show. We believe this could take some time, therefore, we have moved the play to the 2011/12 season and will hope to resume our August Wilson cycle with a full production of MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM at that time.
