Kids Write Plays
The Sacramento Theatre Company’s Kids Write Plays Literacy Project is designed for all students, whether in need of remediation or enrichment. STC provides Kids Write Plays to elementary and middle school students in the greater Sacramento area.
Kids Write Plays is an intensive after-school program that incorporates theatre games, writing exercises and performance to introduce local students to the world of theatre. Through a curriculum-based program in both creative writing and theatre education, students will craft an original play and/or monologues. At the program’s culmination, students perform their works for teachers, family and friends. The program typically lasts at least six weeks.
